Welcome to the 5th World Conference on Floating Solutions!
The 5th World Conference on Floating Solutions (WCFS 2025) is hosted by Bluet Floating Solutions, a Finnish company specialized in special floating solutions, and organized in collaboration with the Society of Floating Solutions (Singapore) / SFSS, as well as a team of educational, academic and research institutes, such as Finnish state owned research institution VTT and Aalto University. The conference will take place in Espoo, Finland during 1st-3rd of September 2025. The 5th edition of the conference will focus on the theme: “Floating Solutions for Sustainable Urban Waterfront Development and the Blue Economy.” This theme highlights the importance of innovative solutions in addressing urban challenges, advancing sustainability, and fostering economic growth within the blue economy.
About WCFS
The World Conference on Floating Solutions (WCFS) was initiated in 2019 by the “Society of Floating Solutions, Singapore (SFSS)” as a global platform to unite experts, innovators, and leaders in advancing floating solutions. Since its inception in Singapore, the conference has grown into a landmark event, with each edition building on the success of the last. The second WCFS in Rotterdam (2020) explored the integration of floating technologies in urban settings, while the third conference in Tokyo (2023) spotlighted cutting-edge advancements and their applications in diverse environments. The fourth edition fourth edition convened in Hong Kong (December 2024), paving the way for the much-anticipated WCFS 2025 in Espoo, Finland, where the spotlight will shine on sustainable waterfront development and the blue economy.
Floating solutions are at the forefront of addressing global challenges such as urbanization, climate change, and sustainable resource use. WCFS 2025 will provide a forum for exploring the latest innovations and developments that are shaping the future of urban waterfronts and enabling the transition to a sustainable, resilient blue economy.
